Exactly one month from now, the FW0R team will start its journey to Wallis and Futuna Islands, with the first stop in Los Angeles for 2 days before taking an airplane to Nadi (Fiji), the closest international airport to Wallis (IOTA OC-054). From there, we will fly to Wallis and expect to start TX around 25 th of January 2012.

We would like to remind You that the entire trip and stay on the island is paid in full by each of the operators and that any contribution/support will help us to reduce the high logistical costs. We would like to thank all individuals and especially the Foundations and Clubs as well as equipment suppliers that already support us.

We would like to inform You about the upcoming DXpedition to South-Pacific. We will leave Budapest on 21st of January 2012. Via LAX and Nadi (Fiji) we will arrive to Wallis (OC054). We will finish on 23rd of February 2012. We will run 2 stations in parallel 160-6 meters with solid state linears (CW, SSB, RTTY). Focusing on low bands, especially 160, 80, 40 and 30 meters with Spider (18 m) verticals. A week long side trip will be also organized to Futuna island (OC118) for IOTA hunters at early February. Will also take part on the ARRL CW contest from there in 2012.

As the costs are high we are looking for club or individual sponsors.....Any kind of sponsorhips are very welcome!

Bissau-Guinea Magyar RÁDIÓS EXPEDÍCIÓ

A Bissau-Guineába szervezett magyar rádiós expedíció 2011. február 12 és 2011. február 23. között volt hallható a rádióamator sávokban J5NAR hívójellel. Az expedíció tagjai HA0NAR (Laci) és xyl: Zsuzsi voltak. Már a több mint 50 kg súlyú felszerelés és antennák szállítása sem volt könnyu feladat. A párás, esetenként viharos trópusi körülmények között rádiózva az expedíció tagjai több mint 13.000 összeköttetést létesítettek a világ számos rádióamatorével.

Az Anico Kft. által támogatásként biztosított Yaesu FT-857D kompakt adó-vevo igen kiváló segítoje volt az expedícióban dr. Radócz Lászlónak (HA0NAR), aki az alsó sávokon (160, 80 és 40 méteren) távíró és távbeszélo üzemmódokban dolgozó operátorként igen kedvezo tapasztalatokat szerzett ezzel a kiváló dinamikájú és megfelelo szelektivitással rendelkezo, korszeru adó-vevo készülékkel.
